Burns Longer:

Because A1 Firewood's hardwood is a lot denser than softwood, it lasts longer in your fire.

Burns Hotter:

The heat energy output from the many different firewood products sold today can vary considerably. Because our firewood is of the highest quality hardwood and is kiln dried it will give you as much as 2-3 times the heat energy output when compared to unseasoned hardwood and seasoned softwood.

Burns Cleaner:

Burning our hardwood means a cleaner stove/chimney for you. Unlike softwood our kiln dried hardwood leaves a lot less soot build-up in your chimney and on your boiler meaning less cleaning for you. Unlike softwood, hardwood contains little resin. It is this resin when burned that causes an excess build-up of soot in your chimney lining and on your boiler. Hardwood also leaves a lot less ash than other solid fuels such as coal and turf. Build-up of soot on your boiler will cause it to become less efficient costing you money!

Burns Safer:

There is little to no sparking from our hardwood which makes it a lot safer in the open fire. Also because there is less of a soot build-up in your chimney from burning hardwood the risk of chimney fire is greatly reduced.
